What are the advantages of a digital trade fair and how you can attract interesting speakers?

Trade fairs are a popular way for every industry to make contacts and position itself and its company as an expert. In times of a pandemic, face-to-face trade shows are hard to implement, so more and more companies are turning to the digital version of a trade show.

With exciting workshops and lectures as well as interesting speakers, we at Lookfamed have created the Ocean Stream and are hosting our first own trade fair on 19.05.2021. What are the advantages of a digital trade fair and what aspects should be considered when planning? We’ll tell you all about it in this blog post.

 

What are the advantages of having your own digital trade fair?

Probably the biggest advantages of an own trade fair are on the one hand the placement of the company and on the other hand the aspect of added value. The company places itself as an expert in its own industry and passes on this expertise to its customers and visitors to the trade fair. Working with qualitative and interesting speakers from a wide variety of fields rounds off the trade fair. The easy accessibility in the digital version makes it easier for companies to generate a large reach and address a large number of potential customers.

We at Lookfamed want to offer insider knowledge around influencer marketing with our trade show and have organized interesting speakers and workshops for this purpose. We want to show our expertise to our customers and offer them added value. We have a diverse range of workshops and talks – from podcast marketing to time management and face filtering to creating reels, there is something for everyone.


What aspects need to be considered during planning?

Having your own digital trade show involves extensive organization. It is important to approach this in a structured and organized manner and to always maintain an overview. It is also advantageous to start this planning early enough to be able to cope with unforeseen challenges.

It is recommended to accept support from experts and to get advice regarding the organization of a digital trade fair. What needs to be considered for a digital trade show and how should it be implemented?

Another important aspect is the test run. If the show is the first time, it is important not to neglect the technical part and try out the stream or the links, for example. Does the link that is sent out to the customers work, is the quality high or are there other inconsistencies that need to be checked again?

We at Lookfamed decided to publish our digital trade show as a stream and broadcast the workshops and lectures live. This method offers high quality and a satisfying result for the participants. 


Three tips for the successful digital trade fair

It is important to carefully select the content of the presentations and workshops. The trade fair should by no means be a separate sales show of the products or services. Rather, the trade fair should offer added value and strengthen authentic contacts between companies and customers.

Another tip is to convince external speakers and experts and not just present the company’s own experts. The reach increases and the expertise of the trade fair is strengthened.

As a rule, actions convince best. At a digital trade show, it is important to convince with successfully implemented projects and campaigns and not to focus the presentations solely on the words of your own company. A mixture of examples and facts are a good way to set up a varied program.


How to attract interesting speakers for your trade fair

A trade show thrives on interesting speakers and experts from the industry. It is therefore all the more important to win over valuable and well-known speakers and to fill the program together with them.

In order to convince the speakers, one should take care of an extensive preliminary preparation in advance. All contacts that have ever been made are potential speakers. However, a trade fair is also a good opportunity to make new valuable contacts and to convince potential customers of the company.
It is therefore important to draw up a plan in advance that can be presented to the contacts. What goal is to be achieved with the trade fair, what topics are to be addressed, what added value will the participants take away from the trade fair, and why does this speaker fit exactly with the planned trade fair?

With interesting content and plans, persuading exciting speakers becomes an easy task.


The Lookfamed Ocean Stream

This year marks our first digital trade show – the Lookfamed Ocean Stream. On 19.05.21 there will be a full afternoon of helpful insider knowledge from Lookfamed’s experts and exciting external speakers. Among others, Kia Hampel from OMR, Jenny Song Schmidt from Gymondo and Heiko Helbig from Facebook will be there. In addition to other interesting speakers, you can expect presentations on all aspects of influencer and social media marketing.
